| BBLT
(pronounced Double BLT) will be singing for the fourth year in the Miami-Shelby
Melody Men annual show. This quartet specializes in novelty and humorous
songs and loves to entertain. Their business cards reads, "We want
to sing for you, but we can’t pay you much." BBLT specializes
in some unusual routines for which they are known, including the "hat
routine." This year BBLT has been one of the chapter quartets performing
in Elementary schools in Miami and Darke County as part of the Chapter “Get
America Singing … Again!” project. The quartet members are: Dale McKinney sings the baritone part. He is retired from General Motors and EDS and is currently a gentleman of leisure. He and his wife Marge live in Troy. Bill Fultz sings the bass part and is well known throughout the area for his many years of surveying work and his work as a School Board member. He and his wife Teresa live in Sidney. Don Heffner sings the lead part and retired from Goodrich in Troy although he continues to work in the area. Don is a Charter member of the Miami-Shelby Chapter and has sung on his 50th show. He and his wife Melonie live in Minster. Gary Roeth sings the tenor part and is a retired teacher from the Piqua School District. It is nearly impossible to go anywhere in the local area with Gary without him being recognized and greeted, especially by current and former students. He and his wife Gretchen live in Piqua |
